A meeting of the Academic Council of the University

December 22 it was held the meeting of the Academic Council of Lviv State University of Life Safety. The opening speech was given by the Rector, Doctor of Education, Professor Mykhailo Kozyar. 
The members of the Academic Council discussed recommendations for printing professional collection of scientific papers "Fire Safety" and considered the educational edition to give them the stamp of the Academic Council:
Textbook "Engineering and special equipment for emergency response. Part 2" (authors: PhD. M.Sychevskii, Associate professor A. Renkas, Ph.D. O.Prydatko),
Practical Guide "Psychological training of future rescuers to work in extreme conditions" (author – I. Koval).

Also Honoured Scientist of Ukraine, doctor of technical sciences, professor Mykhailo Semerak was awarded an honorary doctorate (Doctor Honoris Causa) from Lviv State University of Life Safety.

Further, the meeting approved the activities of academic councils K35.874.01 and K 35,874. 02 and doctors training;
Adjustments to the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" on preparation of regulatory documentation of doctoral students;
In order to ensure a high level dissertations there were presented the reports on the results of research on candidates and adjunct research seminars, attracting leading scientists in specific scientific specialties.

At the end of the meeting on the basis of a secret ballot of members of the Academic Council it was awarded the rank:
The academic rank of assistant professor of civil protection and computer modeling of ekogeophysics to Ph.D. Andrii Lyn
The academic rank of assistant professor of civil protection and computer modeling processes ekogeophisics processes to Ph.D.  Rostyslav Tkachuk.
The academic rank of assistant professor of applied psychology and pedagogy to Ph.D. Volodymyr Slobodianyk.
The academic rank of assistant professor of applied psychology and pedagogy to Ph.D. Andrii Tsiupryk.
