On the Day of Unity of Ukraine in Lviv It was Commemorated Those Who Died for Ukraine

On January 22 on The Day of Unity the rector of Lviv State University of Life Safety Mykhailo Kozyar together with the Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Oleg Syniutka, the head of the Lviv regional council Olexander Hanushchyn, the heads of law enforcement agencies and NGOs took part in celebrations on the occasion of the Day of Unity of Ukraine.
The celebrations began with laying flowers to the heroes of Heavenly Hundreds and soldiers who died defending Ukraine during anti-terrorist operation. 
Subsequently, all together they laid flowers at the memorial to the Ukrainian Galician Army.

Recall, January 22, 1918 Ukrainian Central Rada by Universal IV proclaimed Ukrainian independence, and in a year (22 January 1919) at St. Sophia Square in Kyiv there was no less compelling event - the unification of Ukrainian National Republic (UNR) and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic (ZUNR) in one state.
