Lviv State University of Life Safety was Transferred a Special Fire Rescue Vehicle Iveco Magirus

The delegation of the Lviv State University of Life Safety visited the volunteer fire department of the city Zachernye, the Republic of Poland. During the visit the educational institution of SES of Ukraine was given a special fire rescue vehicle Iveco Magirus. It will be used for training purposes, as well as for service and operational objectives of the emergency response.
"We highly value our long-term friendship with Polish rescuers and feel their continued support. Together we have implemented many large-scale international projects in the field of human security, which were funded by the Government of Poland in the framework of the "Polish Aid. They include the integration of the Ukrainian system of civil protection in the pan-European mechanism to guarantee human security, adaptation of Ukrainian experts to work with the international security system, development of common methods and approaches to the elimination of different emergencies, especially those with cross-border nature. Through this cooperation we did not only gain valuable experience, but also a much-needed fire-rescue gear and equipment, "- said spokesman Anton Kruk LSU FS.
At the University, according to the order of SES of Ukraine it was established an operational unit on duty to participate in prevention and emergency response of state and regional levels. It consists of experienced professionals and cadets of the University, the service of psychological support and medical care, and the expert group of leading scientists of the establishment that deal with environmental and technological safety, interaction plans were agreed with the heads of territorial divisions of SES of Ukraine. That is why a car is very necessary.
It should be noted that this year the university research teams will participate in the new program for Research and Innovation "Horizon 2020". In the consortiums two grant applications are submitted for implementation of two major projects in civil security. The project involves the creation of the University Center for the training of local authorities to act in natural and man-made emergency situations. Also it is planned to create an international information-analytical system based on GIS and Web technologies. It also provides the development of risk assessment emergencies, scientific and educational exchanges as part of cross-border cooperation. It is planned to hold large-scale international study in the aftermath of emergencies.
