LSU LS Attracts Units of SES of Ukraine to Implement Large-scale International Projects That will Increase the Level of Security in the Region

February 3, in Warsaw vice-rector of Lviv State University of Life Safety Taras Rak discussed with representatives of the Main School and National staff of State Fire Service of Poland prospects of international cooperation in the field of human security in 2016. He also took part in the international conference "The general direction of international research collaboration to improve public safety."

In 2016 Lviv State University of Life Safety engages to implement large-scale international projects with subdivisions of SES of Ukraine. These projects are funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland under the "Polish Aid". A significant practical and financial assistance in their implementation provides leading Polish company that specializes in the manufacture of fire-rescue equipment and a variety of simulators for fire. The project involves theoretical and practical parts, as well as the transfer of our rescuers modern fire-rescue equipment for emergency response of various kinds. Their subject matter is related to the chemical nature of the emergency that occurred as a result of a terrorist act, increasing the protection of nuclear facilities, prevention and prevention of disasters, creation of new units of voluntary fire protection, and practicing action in extinguishing fires special mobile simulator, equipped with modern computer-controlled modeling and is able to simulate the fire as close to real.
In recent years, Lviv State University of Life Safety, together with foreign colleagues have successfully implemented a number of international projects, funded by the Government of Poland. They included the integration of the Ukrainian system of civil protection in the pan-European mechanism to ensure human security, adaptation to Ukrainian experts to work with the international security system, development of common methods and approaches to the elimination of different emergencies, especially those with cross-border nature.  In general, projects involving more than 4000 people. The results of the projects are modern rescue equipment, cars and appliances, used in the educational process and the performance of the service and operational objectives of the elimination of different emergencies.
