An Educational Meeting of Civil Protection Leading Staff of the Lviv Region (VIDEO)

February 5, in Lviv, there was an educational meeting of Civil Protection leading staff in Lviv region at the state enterprise "Arena Lviv" summing up the work of Lviv territorial subsystem of unified state civil defense system in 2015 with holding a demonstration exercise of the elimination of the consequences of emergency situation. 

The event was attended by representatives of Lviv State University of Life Safety, headed by the vice-rector Yurii Pavluik. According to him, the experience gained is sure to be introduced in the educational process of the University.
Training took place under the direction of the Head of Lviv Regional State Administration – the Head of Lviv territorial subsystems of civil protection unified state system Oleg Synuitka. To participate in the exercises the governing structure of the Department of Civil Protection of LRSA, heads of district administrations, mayors of regional centers, fire and rescue units of the SES Main Department of  Ukraine in Lviv region, 2nd fast response special center of SES of Ukraine, Communal Lviv Regional Council "Lviv regional center of emergency medical aid of disaster medicine," national police Department in Lviv region, the Office of patrol police in Lviv, SSE "Lviv State Interregional Specialized Enterprise", SSD "Radon", Lviv central diving and rescue service and other public services. 
During the demonstration it was held the following exercises: equipment and mechanization models demonstration, command elements and control and life support in the field.
In particular, during the exercise it was carried out such exercises as conducting emergency rescue of the results of conventional accidents during transportation of chemical and hazardous substances and identifying sources of ionizing radiation, extinguishing conventional fire, rescue people at heights using fire ladders and boom lifts, rescue people using climbing equipment, evacuation, deployment and the work sorting area for victims to prehospital and public order and traffic regulation.
To conduct reconnaissance aircraft in test mode it was used a drone. Unmanned aircraft can perform in on-line place exploration of emergency, accident or discharge spout hazardous chemicals in the elimination of all kinds of fires, terrorist attacks and more. In future the leaders of the region plan renew the material basis of Lviv rescuers with such drones. This will help to monitor the scene more effectively and efficiently.
After the exercises it was summed up the results of academic gathering, hearing the heads of district and city commissions for technogenic and ecological safety and emergencies, heads of regional specialized services of civil defence of the status and readiness of population and discussing the tasks for next year.
