“On the wings of a song” visiting Munich (Germany)
At the invitation of the Ukrainian community in Munich vocal-instrumental University ensemble - "Flaming heart", consisting of: Colonel civil protection Vasyl Kreshchyshyna, major of civil protection Bohdan Sakharov and captain of civil protection Dyda Uliana took part in the International etnofestival of folk music - "Spring chimes ", held in a large concert hall of the Munich Philharmonic . The festival was attended by art folk groups from Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Romania. In general artistic level of all groups was very high and professional, proved by positive feedback of spectators and participants.
During the visit to the Federal Republic of Germany (hereinafter - Germany) University creative team delivered a welcoming concert program at the National House of the Ukrainian community in Munich, where Ukrainian song and today unites the spirit of patriots of Ukraine who for various reasons live on the territory of Germany. On behalf of the community on this occasion, expressed rector of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic parish rector of the church of the Holy Virgin and St. Andrew the First-Called Apostle - Peter Bishop Creek thanked to team of "Flaming heart"
The ensemble attended the graves of Stepan Bandera and his daughter - Natalia Kutsan - Bandera, located in the cemetery "Waldfriedhof" on the outskirts of Munich.
After visiting "Waldfriedhof" cemetery themembers of the ensemble met with a Bandera family in the Head Office of OUN Foreign Parts, which was built by S.Bandera in 1953/54 and where later important meetings were held. Educational training and teaching materials was held and tactics and strategy of further struggle of OUN in exile was developed there.
During the meeting, each participant discovered new and interesting vital historical facts from the life of Stepan Bandera and immediate members of his family.
