The Institute of Fire and Technical Safety at the Department to fire tactics and rescue operations it was conducted practical lessons on discipline "Extinguishing and rescue work tactics." Classes are conducted with cadets of platoon FS-51M on the territory of LSU LS on the theme "The elimination of the emergency with release of hazardous chemical substances."
The aim of the lesson was to practise skills for the elimination of accidents with hazardous substances using modern logistics. A special chemical protection vehicle Iveco Magirus was involved. This vehicle is intended for disaster recovery of chemically hazardous substances spills and leakage, conducting emergency rescue - rescue operations during accidents and environmental disasters.
Classes were conducted by assistant professors V. Loic and B. Stein in three stages. In the first phase was to practice dressing protective clothing. During the second phase it was practised the detection of chemical devices, the usage of chemical detection, sampling and rescuing the victim. During the third phase it was conducted testing of the emergency release of hazardous chemical substances, imposing tires and deposition of dangerous clouds. After the emergency treatment the staff conducted using decontamination cabin.
Proper practical training of the staff is an extremely important component to help confront threats associated with the release of dangerous chemicals. The appropriate level of technical equipment units increases the sense of rescuer and people's security.
