Mykhailo Semerak was awarded the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa from Lviv State University of Life Safety (VIDEO)

3 March at a meeting of the Academic Council at Lviv State University of Life Safety, Mykhailo Semerak was awarded an honorary doctorate degree Doctor Honoris Causa
"Awarding honorary doctorate (Doctor Honoris Causa) from Lviv State University of Life Safety - is one of the greatest events in the life of our establishment, because it is an evidence of the growth and strengthening of our university academic community" - began meeting rector of Lviv State University of Life Safety Mykhailo Kozyar and awarded the diploma of Doctor Honoris Causa.
For significant contribution to the development of education and science in accordance with the decision of the Academic Council of the University, an honorary doctorate (Doctor Honoris Causa) from Lviv State University of Life Safety PhD was awarded Professor, the Head of Department of thermodynamics and physics Mykhailo Semerak.
Mikhail is a consummate scholar and teacher. He is a very intelligent person who is qualified not only professional, but also in secondary industries. The staff of the university appreciates the work and personality of Professor Mykhailo Semerak as a famous and experienced university professor, a scientific coordinator and highly professional.
General experience of scientific and pedagogical work of Mykhailo Semerak is over 48 years. During this time he has published over 350 scientific papers on deformable solids mechanics, thermal physics technology, nuclear energy, electromagnetism, metrology, thermodynamics and thermal physics of fire, 3 monographs, 42 patents, 8 textbooks and 2 guides. Under his leadership 6 Doctoral and master's theses were defended.
For active scientific work Professor Semerak was awarded high state awards. In 1981 the Council of Ministers for outstanding achievements in the field of thermal conductivity awarded Mykhailo Semerak the USSR State Prize in Science and Technology. November 30, 2009 the President of Ukraine appropriated Mykhailo Semerak an honorary title "Honored Worker of Science of Ukraine."
