Lviv State University of Life Safety and Kingston University implement a joint project of the program "Double Diploma"
The delegation of Lviv State University of Life Safety, headed by the head of the Department of Civil Protection and computer modelling ecogeophysical processes, Professor Yurii Starodub, is on a working visit to London. The visit takes place within the framework of scientific and educational cooperation between Ukrainian and British universities and European Union program «Erazmus +» on the organization of academic mobility projects and joint Master's programs. Professor Yurii Starodub, a project coordinator Alan Flowers, a representative of the Erasmus + program,the Deputy Director of the Kingston International office manager of European foreign programs John Anton Carbonell held a meeting on the project. "Cooperation expands its international cooperation of LSU LS. According to it, education must recognize the credits accumulated by students during study abroad, which will be automatically credited to graduation when he returns to his institution. Employees will receive grants for teaching or training in partner organizations. According to the same agreement institution can accept foreign students, graduate students, doctoral students or employees for such short periods of study at the institution, "- said spokesman of Lviv University SES of Ukraine Anton Kruk. During the visit Vasil Karabyn had a lecture for masters of geography on "The impact of disasters on the environment: geochemical aspects." He outlined his own vision of the classification of natural disasters and sufficiently well highlighted environmental disaster of various origins, including technological metamorphism of natural waters and conduct of various chemical elements and compounds on geochemical barriers. The lecture aroused great interest among students. The same day, LSU LS adjunct Andrii Havrys held a practical class for bachelors on "Modelling watershed on the UK area (through complex software ARCGIS)». Representatives of Ukraine held a seminar for bachelors of geography, where the natural and man-made disasters and their impact on the environment were discussed and Kingston students presented their research projects. It is planned a lecture and discussion seminar on "Regional geography, historical change" and practical classes on "Computer modelling in ecophysical studies." The work of the representatives of the Lviv University in London will continue until 15 March.
