University Representatives visited Kingston University, London

University delegation composed by the program ERASMUS + at Kingston University of London in UK members Head of Civil Protection Department of Ecology Geophysical and Computer Modeling Processes, Doctor of Physics&Math., Professor Starodub Yuriy, Head of Environmental Safety Department, Candidate of Geological Sciences, Associate Professor Karabyn Vasil and Lviv State University of Life Safety Adjunct Havrys Andri accomplished first phase of the program.

While being in London members of delegation held lectures and seminars on the following topics: "Dangers and disasters, Chernobyl, for Global Process&Hazards", “Disasters Risk Reduction”, "Regional Geographies Seminar /Lecture/ Discussion On Ukraine History, Changes, Geophysical Issues", "Earthquakes, Volcanoes and Tsunami, from Geophysics Perspective", (prof. Starodub Yuriy), "Environmental Impact of Disaster", "Techno Water Metamorphization and Geochemical Barriers "(doc. Karabyn Vasil), practical "Watershed Modelling, the Example of Essex UK", "Simulation of Flooded Areas by Means of ARCGIS Software" (associate Havrys Andri) and support (Prof. Starodub Yuriy, Assoc.Prof.Karabyn Vasil, associate Havrys Andri). Classes were conducted in English.

In addition, the delegation of Ukraine led by project coordinator Dr. Alan Flowers took part in the working meeting of employees at the Faculty of Science Engineering and Computing, Kingston University, London. The meeting discussed the scientific issues and allocation of budget revenues and earnings.

Productive meeting was conducted by Deputy Director of Kingston International Manager European and Study Abroad Office Joan-Anton Carbonell Porro, project coordinator at Kingston University, Acting Deputy Head of School (QA and External) of School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Dr.Alan Flowers, project coordinator at Lviv State University of Life Safety, head Department of Civil Protection Department of Ecology Geophysical and Computer Modeling Processes Prof.Starodub Yuriy, which steps to implement the program ERASMUS+ at Kingston University and futher cooperation development in the field of educational processes.

The working meetings with Dr. Siaka Dembele on simulation of environments and explosive objects and Dr. Peter Hooda, Professor Gavin Gillmore on environmental safety of hydro-lithosphere mining areas were held. Under the supervision of Dr. Additionally Alan Flowers started radiological analytical and experimental studies of rock samples from coal mines of Chervonograd mining and industrial region, selected by Associate Professor Vasil Karabyn.

As part of the cultural program of the visit members of the delegation took part in a tour of London and attended the evening in London, dedicated to the birthday of Taras Shevchenko.
