University Representatives attended Kingston University in London
University delegation composed the chairman of civil protection and computer eko- geographical modeling processes department, PhD professor Starodub Y.P. ,the chairman of environmental safety department, PhD, associate professor Karabyn V.V. and adjunct Gavrysa A.P. ERASMUS + program participants at Kingston University of London in the UK completed the first phase of the program.
During the stay they conducted lectures and seminars on the following topics: "The dangers and disasters. The Chernobyl disaster in a global perspective "," Earthquakes, volcanic activity and tsunami geophysical prospects "," Historical Geography of Ukraine, geophysical aspects" (prof. Starodub Y.P.) , "The impact of disasters on the environment: geochemical aspects", "Technological water metamorfization and geochemical barriers" (ass. prof. Karabyn V.V.), practical classes "Catchment basins modeling on the example of Essex UK", "Simulation of flooded areas by means of complex software ArcGIS" (adjunct Gavrysa A.P., adviced by prof. Starodub Y.P., assoc. prof. Karabyn V.V. , adjunct Gavrysa AP). Classes were conducted in English.
In addition, the delegation members led by project coordinator Dr. Alan Flowers took part in a employees working meeting of the faculty of engineering and computer science at Kingston University, London. During the meeting there were discussed issues and scientific questions of budget revenues and earnings distribution.
It was conducted operational meeting on the implementation phases of the program ERASMUS + at Kingston University and future collaboration development in the field of educational process with the participation of Deputy Director of Kingston office, manager of International and European studies abroad Joan Anton Carbonell Porro, project coordinator at Kingston University, acting deputy head of the school of mechanics and motorcycle engineering Dr. Alan Flowers, project coordinator at LSU LS, the chairman of civil protection and computer eko-geographical modeling processes department prof. Starodub Y.P.
It was conducted operational meetings with Dr.Dembélé Sivka concerning modeling hazardous environments and objects and Dr. Peter Hudoyu and Gavin Hilmarom concerning environmental safety of hydro lithosphere mining areas. Under the direction of Dr. Alan Flowers they started radiological analytical and experimental studies of rock samples from the dumps of coal mines in Chervonograd mining and industrial region, selected by associate professor Vasyl Karabyn.
As part of the cultural program of the visit the delegation members took part in a tour of London and attended a solemn evening dedicated to the birthday of Taras Shevchenko.
