The Law Week at Lviv State University of Life Safety

Within the Law Week, conducted by Cabinet of Ministers and on the occasion of the proclamation of "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" anniversary scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Law and Management, organized lections on "Human Rights".

Lecturers focused the attention of the audience on the main provisions of the Declaration.  It was also emphasized that the Basic Law of our country assigned high standards of human rights according to Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

On December, 6 a discussion club was organized. It was devoted to women's rights and gender equality in Ukraine.  The Head of the public organization "Center for Women's Perspectives" Olena Kalbus took part in the meeting.

The participants discussed problems of achieving the equality of women and men in all spheres of society, legal ensuring equal rights and opportunities, elimination of discrimination and the use of temporary special measures to eliminate the imbalance between women and men.
