Students of Lviv State University of Life Safety honoured the liquidators of the Chornobyl accident

During the event, Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Oleg Synyutka, Head of Lviv Regional Council Olexandr Hanuschyn, First Vice-Rector Myroslav Koval, cadets of the Lviv State University of Life Safety and public members laid flowers at the memorial sign "Heroes and Victims of Chornobyl".The participants also prayed for all those who died as a result of the accident. Then the requiem was held. The Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Oleg Synyutka said: "Not only April, 26 and December, 14 are the days for honouring the memory of those who sacrificed himself protecting us. I want to express sincere gratitude to liquidators for their courage and heroism. After 30 years we finally have a protective arch that covered the sarcophagus over the 4th reactor of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The whole world united to save Ukraine. The Chornobyl tragedy has remained in history, and our task today is to remember and honour the heroes".
