«Language is the border of the national security»

On February 23 a scientific and practical seminar "Language - the border of the national security" took place at Lviv State University of Life Safety. It was organized and held by the Department of Ukrainian Studies. It was devoted to the Mother-tongue Day and also to the 70th anniversary of Lviv State University of Life Safety.

The seminar was attended by guests from Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, Lviv branch of Dnipropetrovsk National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan. Relevant linguistic reports closely related to the social and political situation in Ukraine were presented (e.g. "Ukrainian language: New challenges and unexpected collisions of hybrid war", "Swiss recipe" and the problem of bilingualism in Ukraine ", "The reasons for bilingualism in the Ukrainian Army", "Doublespeak - modern sociolinguistic phenomenon", "Relationship native language of intelligence," "Ukrainian language distribution in the world", "Svyatoslav Karavansky – a prominent linguist and fighter against Russification", "Personality in the fight for language rights "(Larissa Nitsoy on the look-out for the dignity of language)", and others).

The language is able to protect the nation, but only whether a nation is able to protect the language.
