"A BOOK FOR A FRIEND"

On February 21 we celebrate the International Mothertongue Day. On February 21, 2017 a special action "A BOOK FOR A FRIEND" started. The action aims to provide schools in Luhansk and Donetsk regions with Ukrainian-speaking literature. Lviv State University of Life Safety joined the project and collected about half a thousand books for children enrolled in the east. Cadets and students collected books in Ukrainian, which then will be donated to schools in Luhansk and Donetsk regions to promote the Ukrainian language in the eastern region. The initiator of the action is the manager of the public organization "Lviv Association of ATO combatants" Taras Maslyanka. He was very thankful to the employees of our University and personally handed the gratitude to the Vice-Rector of LSULS Yuri Pavlyuk.
