On the professional holiday of all rescuers, September 17, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited Lviv State University of Life Safety. The President awarded the best workers of Civil Emergency Service of Ukraine with state awards, and others were awarded as `the Hero of the Year`. They were brave men of all ages who came to the rescue of people in need.

A Consultative Session of EU-CHEM-REACT 2 took place at the Main Directorate of European Civil Protection and Operations on Humanitarian Aid (Brussels) on November 28th. (ICCSS). During the session, Rector of the University Myroslav Koval presented the educational and training opportunities of the Lviv State University of Life Safety. The participants also considered the prospects of establishing a European Civil Protection Education, deepening European cooperation with the University. Also, the Rector got acquainted with the work of the International Emergency Monitoring Center.

These days, on the basis of the training ground of the Lviv State University of Life Safety, a big training took place including scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Fire Tactics, 6th course "Fire Safety" cadets and employees of the center ZM SCOTT in the conditions of a real fire based on the fire module using special equipment (thermographic cameras).

The University hosted first planned conference in a project called "Improvement measures for prevention, readiness and response to chemical and natural disasters that are simultaneously experienced by the participating countries, through a series of exercise, for verification and strengthening national capacities, using the complex mechanism of civil protection and international cooperation ".

More than 300 cadets of the Lviv State University of Life Safety pledged allegiance to the Ukrainian people

Over 300 cadets of the Lviv State University of Life Safety gave oath to the Civil Protection units and pledged allegiance to the Ukrainian people.
 

Проведено засідання культурологічного товариства, присв'ячене Чорнобильській трагедії

    24 квітня в рамках заходів до 27-ї річниці Чорнобильської катастрофи відбулося  засідання культурологічного товариства студентів і курсантів на тему: «Чорнобиль у літературі та кінематографі».

На базі ЛДУ БЖД ДСНС України відбулося розширене засідання Колегії Фонду соціального страхування

     19 квітня, на базі Львівського державного університету безпеки життєдіяльності Державної служби України з надзвичайних ситуацій відбувся один з етапів виїзного розширеного засідання Колегії Фонду соціального страхування від нещасних випадків на виробництві та професійних захворювань України.
На засіданні підвели підсумки діяльності Фонду за 2012 рік, розглянули актуальні питання діяльності Фонду в умовах дії єдиного соціального внеску. Також здійснено аналіз недоліків та порушень, виявлених при перевірці робочих органів виконавчої дирекції Фонду, шляхи підвищення ефективності роботи служби страхових експертів.

Курсант Львівського державного університету безпеки життєдіяльності став срібним призером Чемпіонату світу

     11-18 квітня, в м. Ташкент Республіка Узбекистан, проходив Чемпіонат світу з гирьового спорту. Україну на ньому представляв курсант Львівського державного університету безпеки життєдіяльності  Дмитро Воробей. За результатами змагань, майбутній рятувальник посів друге місце у ваговій категорії до 75 кг. Тренує курсанта викладач кафедри спеціально-рятувальної підготовки та фізичного виховання, майстер спорту, чемпіон світу з гирьового спорту Михайло Домінюк.
