Scientific and technical council
The Scientific and Technical Council (STC) of the Lviv State University of Life Safety was established as a research advisory board with aim to provide non-binding strategic advice to the faculty and participate in the development of the LSU LS research agenda. Council members also help provide research resources, expertise, and connections to experts in the corresponding research field, and may identify research funding opportunities. The STC collaborates and works in unison with the University departments in order to enact the best possible research policies and procedures at all levels.
All members of the STC:
- play a key role in developing the LSU LS research agenda,
- regularly participate in all meetings,
- support the LSU LS research and education function by providing regular guidance and insight,
- help foster ties between the LSU LS faculty and key academics, professionals and policymakers,
- help identify and pursue research funding opportunities.
The main responsibilities of the STC:
- consider and approve drafts of specifications, plans, interim and final reports of research projects,
- consider and approve scientific publications, monographs, research proposals etc.,
- develop recommendations for improvement, carrying out, organization, planning and coordination of research,
- discuss current trends and issues within the LSU LS research focus.
