Doctor of Philosophy degree
Lviv State University of Life Safety doctoral research programs lead to the Doctor of Philosophy degree. Program and research areas are:
- Vocational Education,
- Management,
- Environmental Safety,
- Computer Sciences and Informational Technologies,
- Fire Safety.
Completion of a PhD involves original research work which results in either developing entirely new areas of study, or is concerned with the application of novel and existing ideas in new ways and new fields of activity. A program of support and a dedicated supervisor, together with research training programs, are provided to help researchers achieve their PhD degree. Assessment is done after the completion of a thesis which demonstrates a significant contribution to learning followed and by a verbal defense of the written thesis.
