The lecturer of the Department of Civil Protection and Computer Modelling of Ecogeophysical Processes of Lviv State University of Life Safety, Andrii Havrys, visited Kingston University of London in the frame of  ERASMUS + program.

Regular advanced vocational training on translation took place in Kharkiv. It was dedicated to application of English technical terminology in the context of humanitarian demining. Lviv State University of Life Safety was represented by Professor Bogdan Shunevych - Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Psychology and Social Protection.

The training course was conducted by the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) in the framework of the further support of mine action programs in Ukraine.

On January 25, 2018 elected delegates of the Union of Kingston Students  Patrick Tatarian and Daisy Bow du Toit together with the head of the Cadet and Student Council of LSULS Diana Lakh took part in practical training on the subject "Fire, Engineering and Emergency Equipment" conducted by the lecturer of the Department of Fire Vehicles Exploitation and Rescue Equipment captain  Volodymyr Tovryanskyi.
Guests of our University got acquainted with basic theoretical aspects of the use of portable fire extinguishers.

On January 22, the Department of Humanities and Social Work conducted a scientific and methodological seminar on the topic: "The Day of Collegiality is a landmark in the history of Ukrainian statehood". It was performed by Professor of the Department  Victor Holubko.
It was underlined that the process of creation of an independent, united state has always been painful for Ukrainians. Therefore, the long-awaited unification (association) of our lands was a holiday for all citizens.

Between January 15 and January 19, 2018, Oleksandr Sinelnikov (Senior Lecturer, Department of Fire Tactics and Rescue Works) together with representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) was trained to provide the premedical assistance and improved the skills of  the traffic accidents consequences elimination on special light-duty rescue cars (SARM-L) in Kyiv.
