Today, a landmark event took place at the Lviv State University of Life Safety for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the State Fire Service of the Republic of Poland, the Estonian Rescue Council, the Fire and Rescue Service of the Republic of Latvia and the Fire and Rescue Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
The heads of the departmental structures of the five states, Serhii KRUK, Andrzej BARTKOWIAK, Kuno TAMMEARU, Oskars ABOLINSH and Saulius GRAYCIUS signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

On January 1, 2022, the international project "EURO-MED-REACT" started, in which Lviv State University of Life Safety participates as a member of an international consortium of performers.
On February 2, 2022, the Preparatory Session of the members of the international consortium and the representatives of the EU Directorate-General for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid took place in a hybrid format.

This week, cadets and students of Lviv State University of Life Safety arrived to study at Kingston University, London. Cadets Boyko Oleh and Fritz Viacheslav, majoring in 261 "Fire Safety" and Dufinets Andriana, majoring in 263 "Civil Security" (Civil Protection), began training in the program "Environmental Science" . Cadets Vasyliuk Vladyslav, Mechus Khrystyna, Yakovchuk Vitaliy, majoring in 122 "Computer Science" and student Heleshko Iryna, majoring in 125 "Cyber Security", will study in the specialty "Cyber Security".

Today at Lviv State University of Life Safety, Doctor of Engineering, Senior Brigadier Robert Pietz, Director of the Institute of Internal Security of the Main School of State Fire Service in Warsaw, gave an open lecture on the topic "Possibilities of modeling the propagation of atmospheric substances released during fires, which occurred in landfills for solid waste".

Today 22 rescuers of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Ternopil region headed by the Deputy Head of the Main Department for Emergency Response Yuriy Berestetskyi visited the Training Ground of the Lviv State University of Life Safety to learn and practice their skills at BFTC fire module and gas simulator.
In fire and rescue work, the theoretical, special and physical training of the gas and smoke detector is extremely important, because every year thousands of fires and emergencies occur in the Ternopil region.

This afternoon the field exercises with the participation of 4 European countries, where Ukraine was represented by Lviv State University of Life Safety, completed. The improvised stage, in the middle of the camp site, was attended by the founders, participants, international observers, experts, drivers, figurants and support forces, all those who for a long time spent much efforts to ensure that these exercises took place at such a high level.

The productive collaboration of 4 states started today at 8 o'clock in the morning. Forces, means of Latvia, Moldova, Poland and Ukraine worked at the venue. According to legends, the participants took part in the elimination of emergencies of such nature as: the spread of hazardous chemicals on the road, car accidents, fires on a 9-storey building, the elimination of unknown biological contamination and the elimination of the threat in the border area.

The second day of the EU-CHEM-REACT 2 International Exercise began summing up the results of the operational headquarters. Before continuing the work of international rescuers at LEMA (National Emergency Rescue Headquarters situation) a working meeting of staff with representatives from OSOCC-EU CPT (Operational Coordination Center of the Civil Mechanism EU protection) took place.

Today at 8:00 a.m. a request was submitted to the SES of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine about providing assistance and sending units to deal with emergencies. According to this scenario,  international experts arrived  to the place of  emergency  liquidation (training range around the administrative and residential complex of the south quarry of SE "Ekotransenerho" (near Yavoriv Lake in Lviv region) and began work on providing assistance to the injured.

International Field Exercise begins today as part of the EU-CHEM-REACT 2 project. On the territory of the training range, which is located around the administrative and residential complex of the south quarry of SE "Ekotranseneho" (near Yavoriv Lake in Lviv region), representatives of the Republic of Poland, Latvia, and Moldova arrived, as well as rescuers and representatives of the special services of Ukraine.
