POSITION
 
1. General provisions

1.1. The department of editorial and scientific-publishing activity at the Lviv State University of Life Safety (hereinafter - the University) determines the peculiarities of organizing and conducting organizational-creative and production-economic activity, the result of which is the production of publishing products and their distribution.
1.2. The department of editorial and scientific-publishing activity is a structural unit of the University.
1.3. Documents regulating activity: Constitution and laws of Ukraine, decrees of the President of Ukraine, normative documents of the Government, orders of the SES of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine within the competence.
1.4. According to the staffing list of the University, the department of editorial and scientific-publishing activity includes:
             - head of the department of editorial and scientific-publishing activity;
             - senior Researcher at the Department of Editorial and Scientific Publishing;
             - researcher of the department of editorial and scientific-publishing activity;
             - leading specialist of the department of editorial and scientific-publishing activity;
             - specialist of the department of editorial and scientific-publishing activity.
 
2. Basic task
 
2.1. Supervise the preparation of scientific, educational and methodological literature at the University.
2.2. Ensure timely submission of reporting documents to the SES of Ukraine in its line of business.
2.3. To provide the educational process and scientific researches of the scientists of the University with scientific, educational and methodical literature.
2.4. Provide structural units of the University with blank products.
2.5. Comply with the requirements of the statutes, orders, daily schedule, occupational safety and fire prevention measures.
 
3. Functions
 3.1. Organizational and methodological support of managing the process of functioning of the department of editorial and scientific-publishing activity, realization of coordination of activity of structural departments of the university in the direction of work of the department of editorial and scientific-publishing activity.
3.2. Exercise control over literary editing, layout and typographic preparation of teaching aids, lectures, materials of scientific conferences and seminars, articles in the Collection and other materials that come to the department.
3.3. Exercise control over the authors' compliance with the technical requirements for the manuscripts of articles submitted for publication in the scientific editions of the University and ensuring their review.
3.4. Exercise control over the meetings of the Editorial and Expert Council to discuss educational publications of the University staff and other materials published in the educational institution.
3.5. Organization of work on preparation and holding of scientific conferences (seminars), symposia, Days of Science held at the University in the direction of work of the department of editorial and scientific-publishing activity.
3.6. Organization of work on preparation and carrying out of work of cadets and student conferences and competitions of research works which are conducted at the University in the direction of work of the department of editorial and scientific-publishing activity.
3.7. Keeping track of the results of editorial and publishing work at the University.
3.8. Preparation and preparation of reporting documents.
